It is now easier than ever to get started with upLIFT, with a simple upgrade process. We have made several key updates to give you a better user experience with upLIFT technology. UpLIFT was a feature introduced with SDL Trados Studio 2017 to help translators get more from their resources and increase productivity but as with any new innovation, there are always improvements to be made. This exciting development opens up new possibilities such as easy sharing of terminology with colleagues to help to increase consistency, with access to the latest terminology. Terminology is central to the translation process to ensure consistency and quality! Now you have the option to store and manage terminology in the Cloud as well as desktop. SR1 users now have the opportunity to join our free technical preview for the SDL Language Cloud Terminology provider and help shape the future of this service. We are also excited to introduce a beta version of cloud-based terminology through our SDL Language Cloud service.
While you are translating a segment, Studio is intelligently retrieving matches for the next segments to ensure you receive immediate matches from your translation memory, termbase and machine translation resources. LookAhead is a brand new feature to help you work even faster – you can now enjoy improved retrieval speeds when moving from segment to segment. We are now happy to announce Service Release 1 (SR1) is ready and it is packed full of many key refinements to enhance the great features of Studio 2017 you have asked for! New features At SDL we have been busy listening to our customers through several user focus groups, the new ideas community and product surveys, to ensure this Service Release is based on what our customers want.
